    Deaccessioned. Please note that this object no longer forms part of the Museum of English Rural Life collection, and so cannot be accessed at our institution. An apple corer is a simple tool used to remove the core from apples for cooking. At one time, it was customary to make decorated apple corers out of bone and ivory. This corer is made of bone but is undecorated. It comes from Beverley in East Yorkshire.
