    DEACCESSIONED. Please note that this object no longer forms part of the Museum of English Rural Life collection and cannot be accessed at our institution. Goffering iron for crimping and fluting caps and trimmings. The goffering iron was a metal tube set horizontally on a stand. The tube was heated by inserting a metal poker-like rod.
