    A wheel barrow with a wrought iron frame, galvanised metal body, and wooden handles (one of which is missing). The barrow was made for Mr James Ford of Bradfield, Berkshire, circa 1900 by a local blacksmith.

    MERL 'Handwritten accession' form (Museum of English Rural Life) – 'Recorder: JMB // Date: 2.8.96 // Description: This barrow has a wrought iron frame made of strap iron shaped and twisted. The wheel has double spokes and there 4 x 2 in number. One of the wooden handles is missing. The container part of the barrow is made of galvanised metal. // Dimensions: Total length: 116.0 cm Height: 64.0 cm Width: 61.0 cm Diameter of wheel: 37.0 cm // Associated information: This barrow was made for Mr James Ford of Shrub Cottage, Bradfield c. 1900 by a local blacksmith.’
