  • Description
    A small wall hanging made of blue rayon with the Festival of Britain motif dyed onto it. The motif consists of a star, Britannia's head, flags and date 1951. The hanging was made by the donor's father, Michael O'Connell (1898-1976), around the time of the Festival in 1951. Michael O'Connell also made a series of large wall hangings on ‘The Diversity of British Farming’ for the Festival (see 63/18/1–10).
