Washing tub used by Ada Holyroyd, in the 1920s and 1930s before she acquired a washing machine. 'VOLOVO PATENTS'.
This washing tub was used by Ada Holyroyd, the donor's mother, in the 1920s and 1930s before she acquired a washing machine. It was used in conjunction with the wooden dolly (90/24) to wash clothes. It consists of a galvanised iron tub, inscribed on the base with 'VOLOVO PATENTS'.
