    Two thermometers in cases. Alcohol thermometer used in milk, Mercury thermometer stamped 'NOT FOR USE IN MILK', used for testing water.
    These are two thermometers with stainless steel cases. One is alcohol thermometer for use in milk and the other is a mercury thermometer stamped 'NOT FOR USE IN MILK' and it was used for testing water.

    MERL Miscellaneous note- Georgia Charitou- 11 November 2014-The equipment was from the Milk Marketing Board which operated from the Southern Regional Office of the MMB, 39 Christchurch Road, Reading. Mr. Banks worked from the office at Christchurch Road from 1961 onwards. The items were used by Mr. John Banks, Assistant Marketing Officer for Milk Marketing Board in 1970s/80s.
