  • Description
    Ice skates from an area near the Wash, between Norfolk and Lincolnshire, and were used for skating on the Fens, which regularly froze in winter.
    A pair of ice skates with open-work metal soles and metal blades. Each skate has a toe clip and two pins to fix into the front of the heel of a boot, and an adjustable clip and pin to fix to the rear of the heel (misisng on one of the skates). The skates came from an area near the Wash, between Norfolk and Lincolnshire, and were used for skating on the Fens, which regularly froze in winter.
