    A ball-bearing cream seperator, used for seperating cream from milk. Made by R. A. Lister & Co, Dursley, Gloucestershire, 1950s.
    A ball-bearing cream seperator, used for seperating cream from milk. It was manufactured by R. A. Lister & Co. of Dursley, Gloucestershire, and dates from the 1950s. It is a hand-cranked machine and is complete with galvanised and aluminium bowls and spouts. It was bought second-hand by the donor in 1986, who then used it for separating goat's milk.

    1 cream separator: metal, aluminium, wood; good condition- completeList of parts: 1) Pedestal with crank handle and gear guards - bell for speed regulation 2) Large bowl or receiving tin with tap 3) Bowl spindle shield with rubber joint ring 4) 17 conical plates - stored on large metal pin 5) False top with adjustable cream screw in neck 6) Small cream screw key 7) Bowl nut 8) Spanner for bowl nut and other scres on pedestal 9) Lower skin milk cover 10) Middle cream cover 11) Gauge for use to adjust level of cream screw hole - see instructions 12) Top tin cover 13) Float Also given with this item was an instruction book (now in archive collection under TR DX228/3), and a list of equipment for dairy products - R. J. Fullwood & Bland (TR DX228/1-2).
