    These steel secateurs feature pointed, scissor-action blades and a spring mechanism to open the blades. There is a pin to hold the blades closed. They are inscribed with the following details: 'C.T SKELTON AND CO. // SHEFFIELD // 137T5', indicating that the tool was manufactured by C. T. Skelton & Co., Sheffield. This tool was used by a farm worker in north-east Hampshire who died in 1989, aged 84 years.
