Description
This is a powder blower for distributing powdered insecticides over crops. This blower is painted light green. Distribution of the powder was via a flexible black rubber tube of which only a small portion remains. There is also the inscription: 'KESTREL'. This blower is designed to be worn around the waist with canvas straps so that the powder hopper was secured on the lower back of the operator. Then the blower on one side was operated by the handle on the projecting arm on the other side. The object is part of the Zeneca Collection.
