  • Description
This is a large, heavy, wooden mortar. The top is cut out to form a recess into which the pounding hole is cut. This is worn out at the bottom so the mortar was no longer of use.It has been fixed to a wooden wheeled trolley to make moving it easier. The mortar was found at Fort Iskander, a Kampong village on western side of Tasek Bera. The item was used by The Semelai of W. Malaysia.
