This is a long handled tool with iron hook fixed to the end. A knife operates in the hook by means of a spring loaded lever at the other end of the handle. The long wooden handle has a square section and was painted red. The lever has a turned wooden handle fixed with a ferrule. This tool was given to the donor by a man from Wokingham. It was used for pruning trees and shrubs as well as picking fruit.
