  • Description
    Heavy 3-square pronged fork with wooded D handle. Repair at the base of the handle. Stamped 'MJ' for Mark Jenner. Similar to a potato fork., but used to dig over hops.
    This is a heavy three-pronged fork with socketted handle and long flange fixed with heavy rivets. The prongs are square section and chisel ended. It has a wooden D handle with some worm damage. There is also evidence of repair at the base of the handle. The object is stamped 'M J' for Mark Jenner. Moreover the item is similar to a potato fork, but with pronounced 'swan-neck' between handle and head. It was used to dig over hops.
