  • Description
    A large fork manufactured by Bulldog Tools. The fork was used for harvesting potatoes, but another use could be to remove stones from a field.
    A large fork with eight prongs, the outer two of which are straight and the inner six of which are dished. It has a clasped and rivetted wooden handle with a D-shaped end. It was manufactured by Bulldog Tools. According to the donor the fork was used for harvesting potatoes, but it is more likely to be a stone fork used to remove stones from a field.

The 6 inner prongs are dished and the outer ones are straight. The handle is very worn. It is clasped and riveted and has a D-shaped end which is also strengthened with metal straps // Inscription: BULLDOG TOOLS – ENGLAND // Dimensions: Total length: 105 cm // Handle (total length) 72 cm // Prongs length: 34.0 cm // Associated information: This fork was said by the donor to have been used in harvesting potatoes but it is much more like a STONE FORK.
