    A wagon wedge or 'wagon choc', used to prevent wagons from rolling backwards. It came from wheelwright's shop at East Ilsley, Berkshire.
    This large wooden wagon wedge, also called a 'wagon choc', was used to prevent wagons from rolling backwards by being placed underneath the wheels. It is made from two pieces joined together by large iron bolts, and has a chain fixed to an iron loop at the back. It originally came from wheelwright's shop at East Ilsley, Berkshire.
