Description
This is a pair of hand operated steel shears, complete with the ring which holds the blades closed when not in use. They were used for cutting the fleece from sheep. It bears an inscription with a hallmark-type mark.

Manufactured by Ward & Payne Ltd., Sheffield; found at Kidmore End, This tool was left at the donor's house when he took over the house in 1947.
