    A butter print with a rose design. It is made of sycamore and came from the dairy of Woodley Farm in Woodley, Berkshire.
    Butter prints were used for leaving a hallmark of the place of origin on blocks of butter and often had symbolic designs. This is a round print with a rose design. It is made of sycamore, a close-grained wood often used for dairy equipment, where scrubbing and cleaing is important. It came from the dairy of Woodley Farm in Woodley, Berkshire.
