  • Label Text
SHORTBREAD MOULD. This is a round mould for decorating shortbread. It has a thistle design and a fluted ring. It was made for a Rural Industries Bureau exhibition in the late 1940s or early 1950s. Who do you think would have been interested in it? Why I chose it? 'It has a lovely, flowery design and shoes how people made their own shortbread rather than buying it. It must have been hard to push the dough into the mould.' MERL 83/93.
