  • Description
These garden shears have a fixed plate with 5 points to which one wooden handle is attached. The second wooden handle is attached to a moveable bar which carries 4 sharp blades. These can be removed for sharpening. The metal plate carrying the maker's name is broken and therefore not easy to decipher. They also have an inscription; 'THE ASTON GARDEN SHEARS// MANUFACTURED BY// THE FLEXA[LINC] MOWER CO. LTD// WOKING[HAM] ENGLAND'. These shears are probably for hedge cutting. They were transfered from the Archaeology Department.
