Description
A light blue glass bottle with graduated marks down each side, once containing a medical preparation for animals. It is labelled 'Gresswell's Colic Drench' and the label contains detailed directions for use, alongside a picture of a horse lying on its back. The preparation was prepared by Gresswell & Lockwood, a veterinary practice in Peterborough, Cambridgeshire. The bottle is part of the collection of John Lester Gilbert, a botanist and local historian from Wansford in Cambridgeshire.
