  • Description
    This basket-shaped container with a handle is probably made of ash. It has a wooden base and sides made of uneven staves held together by a wooden band at the top and the centre. The edge of the base is strengthened by a metal strip. It was used as a container in the workshop of William Wheeler, a carpenter and undertaker from Beech Hill, Berkshire.
