    8. Tankard, a prize given by the Staffordshire Agricultural Society. This Tankard was given to W. J. Petch, for two years running: 1949 and 1950, for having the 'Best Kept Crawler Tractor.' Awards like these and others similar were common in society shows. Other awards could include: 'best of breed' awards, various best farm equipment awards, ploughing and harvesting races. The awards themselves came in the form of cups, tankards, certificates, medals and rosettes. They were classed as special awards as the competitors were judged by their peers. 75/147.5.
