Thatching shears used for trimming of thatch. Made by Burgon & Ball. The shears belonged to a thatcher on the Dorset-Wiltshire border.
A pair of metal thatching shears, used for the final trimming of thatch. They were made by Burgon & Ball, and are stamped on the blade with the maker's mark, 'Made in England', and the patent no. 204. The shears belonged to a thatcher on the Dorset-Wiltshire border.
