Description
This porringer or quaich is a coopered vessel with a deocorative handle. The staves have been joined together by feather dovetailing. The vessel has a double bottom, made of oak, with something loose in between to make it rattle. It was purchased by the donor in the 1940s and is believed to have been made in the early-nineteenth century.
