    MERL 'Catalogue index' card – 'This mug is made of earthenware. It has a white ground with a design of flowers and leaves and twigs in green and brown, a [sic] small, blue dots. The design covers the outside of the mug, and inch of the inside and the handle. The mug is glazed, and ornamented with grooves. The height is 3.5 inches and the diameter 3.5 inches.', No Lavinia Smith No. recorded.
