A dog collar from Cockfield Hall, Suffolk, the seat of Sir Charles Blois Bart.
This is a dog collar, which is an adjustable brass animal collar which has 4 different slots for fixing. It has a harp through which a padlock would probably have been fixed. This collar is originally from Cockfield Hall, Suffolk, the seat of Sir Charles Blois Bart. Cockfield Hall is a large mansion in the Tudor style in a park skirted on the south by River Yox or Muiswere. It passed from the Brook family to Sir Charles Blois of Grunuisburgh who was made a baronet in 1668.
