    A bushel for measuring grain. Inscribed with 'bushel' and 'VR 454' and a Royal stamp of verification, dating it to between 1837 and 1901.
    This is a one bushel measure for measuring grain. It is made from a steamed sheet of wood, tacked along the side, with a wooden base. It has a metal band at the top and bottom, strengthening struts and two handles. It is inscribed with 'bushel' and 'VR 454' and has the Royal stamp of verification from Queen Victoria's reign, dating it to between 1837 and 1901.
