    MERL Recording Form - ‘Name of Object: two gardening implements, Probably Planters // Name and Address of Owner: Mrs. Rosemary Lunn, Sates House, Peppard Common, Oxfd. // Date: 12th Jan 1966 // Both tools were found in the outhouse and are thought to have been used for gardening. Perhaps for planting bulbs in turf. Their existence was known for about 40 years, perhaps longer, but this present gardener does not know their purpose. Both he and his father were gardeners at Salis House. // From what materials is the object made: wood handles and iron ends // What are the approx. measurements: overall 36”// pen drawing.
