A ceramic vase with lid, used for storing cream in a shop. Possibly made by Minton. Purchased from a farmer in Bideford, Devon.
A ceramic vase with lid, used for storing cream in a shop. The vase stands on a pedestal base and has two decorative handles on either side; the lid has a raised central portion with holes for ventilation. The vase and lid are glazed white with blue edgings and decoration on the handles. It is believed to have been manufactured by Minton as a copy or modification of the same type of vase made by Josiah Wedgwood. The donor purchased the vase from a farmer in Bideford, Devon, where it had been in use for a 30?50 years.
