  • Description
    This pigeon basket, for pigeons to live in, was made for the Museum in 1965–1966 by William Shelley of Salisbury, Wiltshire. It is made of willow, with a wood and hardboard tray in the base. It is rectangular in shape with an arched roof which opens, and has a feeding tray at either end, a perch rod, and a small twisted carrying handle on the top.

    This is one of thirteen baskets ordered from William Shelley on 17 June 1965.
