    This is a ceramic jam pot or dish, with painted decoration inside and handle attached to unusual 'pushed-in' rim, with 'Take a little jam' painted on the rim. This was produced by Torquay pottery, in Devon.

    MERL ‘Handwritten catalogue’ form - ‘DISH // DOMESTIC serving food // C. A. Jewell // Jam dish no date or origin- probably made in Devon, colour painted design on interior base. Cylindrical with flared sides towards rim one side of rim pushed in with handle attached [pencil drawing].’
