    Parting dishes were used for serving separate portions of food in the same dishes, sometimes with meat resting on a trivet above the dish.
    Parting dishes were used for serving separate portions of food in the same dishes, sometimes with meat resting on a trivet above the dish. This is a rectangular dish with tapered sides and a central partition running width-ways. The interior is glazed brown, with cream decoration; the exterior is unglazed.
