MERL ‘Handwritten catalogue’ form – ‘Made by David Lewis. See British Council Collection & letters in this file.’, Letter, Rural Industries Bureau to Stanley Anderson, 2 July 1946 – ‘I know that you greatly admired a ladle which you saw in our Exhibition when we had the pleasure of seeing you here at Wimbledon. The ladle was a large whittled one made by David Lewis, Brodawel, Ffastrasol, Llandyssal, Cards., and I have obtained another which I am sending to you with the compliments of the Rural Industries Bureau. In view of all the interest you have taken in the craftsmen and the many lovely engravings you have made of them and their work, I feel that we are greatly endebted to you.’
