    A side rake is a thatching tool used for dressing down long straw and raking out waste. Possibly used at farms in Woodley, Berkshire.
    This side rake is a thatching tool used for dressing down long straw and raking out waste. It is made of wood and is missing one of its tines. The rake was almost certainly used at Lunns Farm or at Woodley Farm, both in Woodley, Berkshire.

    MERL ‘Associated information’ form [59/334] – ‘All these items [59/334–337] were taken from the barn of a now abandoned farmstead. Were almost certainly used at Lunns Farm or at Woodley Farm which was once owned by the Pither family. The wagon (photo in slide collection) has on the front board “George Pither, Woodley Farm".’
