Overshoes for a pony would have been strapped around the hooves and fastened with buckles. Known as ‘lawn shoes’.
These overshoes, for a pony, are made of leather. They would have been strapped around the pony’s hooves and fastened with the buckles. These overshoes were known as ‘lawn shoes’ as they were worn to prevent the hooves damaging the lawn when horses or ponies were used in mowing.
