  • Description
These overshoes, for a horse, are made of leather and have padding on the inside. They would have been strapped around the horse’s hooves and fastened with the buckles. They are inscribed on the front ‘Pattison’s 1st Quality Coles Patent’. These overshoes were known as ‘lawn shoes’ as they were worn to prevent the hooves damaging the lawn when horses were used in mowing.
