This conical milk churn is made of tinned steel. It has a brass outlet pipe which is missing its tap at the base, two hinged handles halfway up the sides, and a lid secured with a pin and chain. It also has a brass plate bearing the owner’s name ‘F. ---’ (badly worn) and ‘Amersham’. It was used for the transport and storage of milk for sale, and was probably carried on a milk float.
