  • Description
A pistol holder which would be attached to a belt and worn at the side of the body. 'James Hambln Ashbury, Berks 1849' carved into the leather.
This is a leather pistol holder which would be attached to a belt and worn at the side of the body. It has one buckle at the top but the straps are missing. 'James Hambln Ashbury, Berks 1849' is carved into the leather and the crudeness of the carving suggests that James Hambln was the owner of the holster rather than the maker.
