    Mugs of this type were presented to children in Reading in Prospect Park on the occasion of Queen Victoria's jubilee in 1887. This particular mug was given to Mrs Turner, a relative of the donor. It is white earthenware, with a black and white picture of Queen Victoria and the words '1887 // JUBILEE // 1887' in a ribbon shape above.
