    A chopper used in Frosterley, in the Weardale area of County Durham. Probably dates from the early 19th century.
    This chopper was used in Frosterley, in the Weardale area of County Durham. It consists of two parallel rectangular blades attached to a cylindrical wooden handle, also parallel to the blades. It was found covered in mortar on the wall plate of an old barn, and probably dates from the early 19th century. It is not known what its precise use was.
