  • Description
This is a round shave, a woodworking tool used by coopers to level the joints between staves in casks and barrels, and also for cleaning casks. This is a two-handled shave, although one of the wooden handles is missing, and the blade is semi-circular. The museum holds little information about the origins of this shave.
