    Deaccessioned. Please note that this object no longer forms part of the Museum of English Rural Life collection, and so cannot be accessed at our institution. A fleam was used to pierce the jugular vein of an animal to bleed it for veterinary purposes. This fleam has four blades, with the fourth blade being smaller than the others and knife-shaped. This fleam was used on cattle, but it is not known where it was made or used.
