    MERL miscellaneous note - Several years before this note was added to the database the Museum received a visit from John Strange who indicated that his wife had done spinning as a hobby and became interested in how it was done. She had visited the Museum and examined this spinning wheel. They may even have had a replica made [OAD 06/01/2016]
