  • Description
Saddler's clamp from the Midlands bought during WW II. It acts as a vice into which a saddler would insert a piece of harness for stitching.
The donor purchased this saddler's clamp in a sale in the Midlands during World War II for use in his workshop, but never used it. The clamp acts as a vice into which a saddler would insert a piece of harness for stitching. He would hold the clamp between his knees as he sewed to maintain the pressure on the work.
