    Croze used to cut a channel into the inside of the staves at the end of a cask for the head. Used at Adams Brewery, Newbury, West Berkshire.
    The croze is a tool used by coopers to cut a deep, narrow channel into the inside of the staves at the end of a cask for the head (lid). This croze plane was used at Adams Brewery in Newbury, West Berkshire.
