    This is a moustache cup, used by the donor's father in Reading. It is white, and decorated with red roses painted between V shaped flutings. The circumference of the cup and the bridge are gold edged. There is no saucer. It was used to enable the drinker to protect their moustache. This cup is thought to date from the early nineteenth century.
