  • Description
    This is a hand-powered knife cleaning machine, with three entrances for knives and a separate sprinkling container with a detachable lid. It has two badges with inscriptions, the first bearing details of the manufacturer, ‘KENT Patentee & Manufacturer 199, High Holborn, London’, and the second with details of the distributor, ‘J. H. Stephens, Ironmonger, West Street, Horsham’.

    1 knife cleaner (with separate sprinkler and lid): wood; metal; good condition[cont'd]...relief metal 'badge' on round face with handle inscribed: 'Kent, patentee & manufacturer, 199, High Holborn, London'; small plaque on edge near top inscribed: 'J. H. Stephens, ironmonger, West Street, Horsham'; other notices and stickers on outside are illegible due to wear and tear; crank handle also has wooden hand grip at end which is rather loose; the separate sprinkling container is of simple metal cylindrical form and with detachable perforated lid [now missing].
