  • Description
    This jelly mould is made of cream glazed pottery. It has fluted sides and is in the shape of a nest with three birds - a parent bird feeding the other parent who covers the chicks with her wings. It is thought that this latter bird may be a cuckoo. This is one of three jelly moulds that the donor found in Essex.
