Description
This jelly mould is made of cream glazed pottery. It has fluted sides and is in the shape of a nest with three birds - a parent bird feeding the other parent who covers the chicks with her wings. It is thought that this latter bird may be a cuckoo. This is one of three jelly moulds that the donor found in Essex.

1 jelly mould: cream glazed pottery; poor condition- extremely fragile, cracked and repairedThe mould design is in the shape of a nest containing small birds. A parent bird is feeding the other parent who covers the chicks with her wings. This latter bird might be a cuckoo.
