This is a half bushel measure for measuring out quantities of grain. It is made of steamed bent wood with iron banding and side handles. The measure has stamped on the side 'County Derby'. It was used by the Hollingworth Family of Coppice Farm in Melbourne, Derbyshire, circa 1855-1955.
