    One of four lace-making bobbins used by an old lady in Bedfordshire. Made of bone, and is decorated with six pewter bands.
    This is one from a group of four lace-making bobbins which, according to the donor, were used by an old lady in Bedfordshire. This bobbin is made of bone, and is decorated with six pewter bands. The bobbin has a spangle (glass beads or ornaments attached to the bottom of the bobbin to provide additional weight) with eight beads (it should have nine).
